HR Day In Augusta

The Second Biennial HR Professionals Day in Augusta was held on February 27, 2007.

A full day event was scheduled to give HR Professionals an opportunity to observe the legislative process in action and interact with policy makers in Maine.

Beverly Clayton, Columbia Forest Products, Christina Theriault, County of Aroostook, and Janet Kelle, Professional Home Nursing participated in this year's event. They were able to watch the legislature in session and sit in on a work session of the education committee. Patricia Sutherland, one of the Central Aroostook Representatives spent several hours with the group discussing local issues and educating the group on how the legislature works.

Bev, Christina, and Janet also had the opportunity to speak to Jeremy Fischer, Jackie Lundeen, and Roger Sherman.
