Welcome to NESHRM Online, owned and produced by the Northeast Society for Human Resource Management. NESHRM is the leading membership association for the human resource profession serving Northern Maine. Our websites are available to all visitors, although some content and features are restricted to NESHRM members.

Throughout NESHRM Online, there are forms for visitors to request information and services. These forms may ask for contact information (such as your phone number or e-mail address), unique identifiers (usually your NESHRM/SHRM membership number, if one is available), financial information (such as your credit card number), or demographic information (for example, your age, location, PHR/SPHR designation, etc.). Contact information from these forms is used to provide the products, promotional materials, or memberships that you request. Forms on our site that request financial information do so in order to bill you for products or services ordered. Unique identifiers (specifically, your NESHRM/SHRM member number) are collected from website visitors to verify the user's identity for access to restricted content or features on the site.

NESHRM has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the NESHRM website.

Personal Information
It is NESHRM’s intention to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. In general, you can visit the NESHRM’s web site without telling us who you are or revealing any information about yourself. However, there are places on our web site when we may need information from you, such as your name, email address, city/state, and zip code. It is our intent to let you know before we collect personal information from you.

NESHRM will not distribute or sell any of your personal information to third parties. However, your name and email address are available to paid members. We do release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with law; or protect the rights, property, or safety Name of Affiliate, our users, or others.

The NESHRM web site's registration forms (only found in certain areas of our site) require users to give us contact information (like their name and email address). We use the contact information from registration forms to send information about NESHRM and to insure that our programming is used for legitimate purposes. The contact information is also used to contact the visitor when necessary. Visitors may opt-out of receiving future communications (see below).

Business Relationships
The NESHRM web site contains links to other web sites. NESHRM is not responsible for the security practices of the web sites that are linked from our site. We highly recommend that visitors check the privacy statements at these linked sites.

Some NESHRM/SHRM pages use cookies so that we can better serve you when you visit and then return to our site.
